Steve Bastian lives in the mountains of northern PA with his wife; poet Rebecca Kinzie-Bastian, and his oddly named children and pets. He has no hobbies, as they all eventually become occupations.

He has earned his way at various times as illustrator, wood carver, constructor of animation puppets and roller of handmade beads.

His current alter ego is as a metalsmith, creating jewelry in silver and gold. He believes that his family will tolerate jewelry as gifts for two or three more years, after which time he aspires to become a potter, blacksmith, or Pullman porter....
